Program Overview

The Early Childcare Provider Diploma Program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge for a career in early childhood education and care. The program covers child development, health and safety, curriculum planning, and behavior management, with hands-on practicum placements in various childcare settings. Students learn to create supportive environments that foster children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.

Career Opportunities

Graduates will be prepared for roles in daycare centers, preschools, home-based childcare, after-school programs, and special needs support. They can work as early childhood educators, assistants, or nannies, with opportunities to advance through further education and certifications in the field.

Admission Requirements

  • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; or be at least 18 years of age or older and pass an entry test.
  • English proficiency requirement for international students.

Graduation Requirements

To successfully meet the program outcomes the student must:

  • Achieve a minimum mark of 65% in all of the module assignments and exams
