The tech industry is in high demand in Canada, with pathways to Canadian permanent residency. For those who want to break into the computing field, Evergreen College offers a Computer System and Network Specialist program designed to provide students with the skills necessary to become successful in the industry
The program provides students with a hands-on, project-based learning experience in troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems and networks. The work in the program will give them the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.
CompTIA A+ is the industry standard covered in the classroom:
- CompTIA – A+ Exam 220-901: Core Hardware Service Technician Exam
- CompTIA -A+ Exam 220-902: A+ Operating System Exam
This program will equip students with relevant training to find jobs. In addition, there are Canadian Permanent residency opportunities for tech jobs in some provinces in Canada such as OINP, AINP, and BC PNP. Students will also be able to join job-finding workshops to assist them in their search.
